To celebrate this legendary actor on his 50th birthday which falls on March 17 the movie team “Appu” has decided to re-release it across the state. ‘Appu’ is the debut movie for Puneeth Rajkumar as a lead in Sandalwood and he etched his name with the tremendous success of this romantic action movie directed by the most celebrated filmmaker Puri Jagannadh.
During its original release in 2002 this movie recorded many attainments such it completed 200 days of theatrical run and the movie has been remade into three different languages including Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali. The movie “Appu” is about a carefree brave young college student and he falls in love with Suchitra. The loving couple encounter a huge objection from her father, a strict and powerful police officer. The story further moves forward with their battle to reunite amidst all the odds.
