Mr & Mrs. Bachelor director Deepu Karunakaran creates agitation in Malayalam Cinema as his accusation against the growing actress Anaswara Rajan. The former has accused and defamed the actress for not being available during the promotions of his movie Mr & Mrs. Bachelor that was released in 2024.
Director Deepu Karunakaran has stirred the pot recently when he has given a line of interviews stating that actress Anaswara Rajan who he had collaborated with in his 2024 film didn’t involve in any promotions for the movie. This allegation was addressed by Anaswara Rajan who posted a long post saying that Director Karunakaran’s interviews defamed the actress.
Anaswara left no stone unturned as she pointed out how she took time off of her schedule to promote three films, ‘Rekhachithiram’, ‘Ennu Swantham Punyalan’ and ‘Painkili’. She also stated in the long social media post that Mr. Deepu Karunakaran has mentioned about facing similar issues with other actors but chose to only mention her name. Anaswara Rajan clearly reflected this act was intended to tarnish her name which hurt her as she was the one who initiated the filming even when there were payment issues while working in the movie.
“Mr Deepu, this is to address your claim that I only worked if I got my payment. Let me remind you that I was the one who took the initiative to shoot even when you asked me to remain inside my room till the producer credits the amount. Your statement about my approach to movies has left me emotionally and professionally wounded”, the actress mentioned addressing the director’s comments on her approach to cinema.
In a bold and appreciative move, actress Anaswara stated how the director’s accusations are baseless and probably thought a growing and upcoming actress wouldn’t react but she has filed a complaint with AMMA – Association of Malayalam Movie Artists.
She also pointed out how she and her team were ignored with little to no response when asked about the promotions and how she was the only cast member who promoted and shared the posters of the movie in Social Media. Anaswara will also take legal actions on the Youtube Channels and other media houses who contributed to this defamation hassle.
