Love Under Construction is a Malayalam romantic-comedy web series streaming on JioHotstar from 28 February 2025. Storyline:
Episode 1: Foundation of Love
Pappan (Aju Varghese) takes care of building his cousin brother Vinod’s (Neeraj Madhav) house in Kerala. In Dubai, Vinod meets Gouri (Gouri Kishan) while planning a home for his parents. But his life changes when he loses his job.

Positive Aspects
- Vinod and Pappan’s bond is one of the best parts of the episode. Their conversations feel real and show how much they care for each other.
- The scenes between Kerala and Dubai are beautifully shown using a song and daily life moments from both places.
- Vinod and Gouri’s love story feels natural and not rushed. Their relationship grows at a steady pace, making it believable. The pacing is well-balanced, showing the viewers an emotionally genuine confession between them.
- Vinod’s job loss scene is highly realistic and makes viewers empathetic. It also connects to Gouri’s earlier subtle warning about not rushing into house construction at a young age and instead focusing on financial stability. This resonates deeply with middle-class young audiences struggling with high EMIs.
- The episode clearly explains the title Love Under Construction as it focuses on both Vinod’s love life and his dream of building a home for his parents, which are both under construction/progress. Many youngsters will easily connect with this common theme.
Negative Aspects
Gouri’s character needed more depth. While Vinod and Pappan got a lot of screen time, Gouri’s backstory, especially her relationship with her strict father could have been shown more.
