Biggest budget, multi-starrers, and one of the highest grossing movies in the Malayalam Film Industry is “Lucifer”. It is a political action and thriller movie which was directed by the leading Pan-Indian actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, starring Mohanlal, Manju Warrier, and Vivek Oberoi in the lead roles. It is the directorial debut movie of Prithviraj and his first attempt gave a promising victory. The post credit of this movie has given a lead to its sequel in the franchise of “Lucifer”. This movie was released in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada.

L2: Empuraan
Initially, after the triumph of “Lucifer” the movie team decided to go on with the sequel and disclosed about it in 2019. On October 16th, 2024 the first look poster of the movie “L2: Empuraan” was revealed along with his character name “Zayed Masood”. Actor, director, producer, and playback singer Prithviraj Sukumaran announced the worldwide release date of his second movie in trilogy “L2:Empuraan”. The poster exhibits a male lead whose head looks fully shaved, wearing a white shirt and at the back a dragon has been drawn.
