Early this morning the whole team of the pan-India movie Kanguva and the Malayalam Film Industry underwent perturbation after the revelation of the heartbreaking news of Nishadh Yusuf’s death. He was found dead in his house which is located in Panampilly nagar in Kochi, earlier this morning around 2 am. The cause of his death is still not yet confirmed; meanwhile, the state police have started to investigate the untimely death of Nishadh.

FEFKA (Film Employees Federation of Kerala) Directors’ Union ensures the death of 43 year old editor Nishadh Yusuf and has penned down an emotional note on their official facebook page early on wednesday, october 30, 2024.
“The unexpected demise of Nishadh Yusuf, film editor, who played a major role in determining the contemporary future of the changing Malayalam Cinema is not something the film world will be able to quickly accept. Condolences from FEFKA Directors’ Union”
Nishadh Yusuf’s Acclaimed movies
Nishadh made his mark with his excellent cuts and innovation in the editing sector through the movies including “Thallumaala, Adios Amigo, One, Unda, and Saudi Vellakka”.
- He won Kerala State Film Award for “Thallumaala” (2022)
- Critics’ Choice Film Awards in India for “Thallumaala” in 2023
- The movie “Saudi Vellakka” bagged three National Awards.
He sealed the big shot movies with his skills and had been working with the prestigious upcoming movies both in Tamil and Malayalam. They are pan-India movie “Kanguva” starring actor Suriya, Mammooty’s “Bazooka” and Khalid Rahman’s “Alappuzha Gymkhana”.
The audio launch of “Kanguva” took place three days ago and everybody in the team was totally wrecked to hear this bitter news of their beloved teammate. Many celebrities and his colleagues are conveying their condolences for his family.
