Malayalam film industry, and the television industry are paying their tribute to the veteran actor Meghanathan on social media and they visit him for one last time in person who died at 60, due to a lung-related disease. He has been under treatment for a few months in a private hospital at Kozhikode where he took his last breath.

Meghanathan’s early life and Career
The late actor Meghanathan was born into a family with the film background. His father Balan K.Nair was also a notable actor in the Malayalam Film Industry, he had also played the role of antagonists in his career. Meghanathan was the third child of Balan K.Nair and Sarada Nair and spent his early days in Trivandrum. He did his schooling in Chennai and completed the Diploma in Automobile Engineering in Coimbatore.

After completing his education, he decided to pursue his dream of becoming a successful actor like his father. So, he did his debut movie in 1983, “Asthram”. He chose many roles as antagonist and he owned the movie with his intimidating performances on the screen. “Kooman, Panchagni, Chenkol, one, Chamayam and Bhoomigeetham” are some of his best movies. His final movie is said to be “Kooman” starring Asif Ali as the lead, and it was released in 2022.
He had also appeared in the television drama series including ‘Sthreetvam’, ‘Chitta’ – Surya Tv, ‘Meghasandesham’- Kairali Tv, and ‘Snehanjali’- Asianet.
The funeral of actor Meghanathan will take place in his hometown, Shoranur in Palakkad on Thursday.
