Asianet is streaming thirteen different soap operas from the matinee to the prime time and most of the stories are revolving around the common themes like women-centric and unforeseen marriage between the lead characters. Fans of the television serials of Malayalam are impressed with the launch promo of new serial ‘Teacheramma’. We are taken into the nostalgic world of our childhood when we hear the sound of the school bell and the setting of the story is shown, ‘Govt L.P.School – Maravathoor (since 1944)’. The female lead enters the frame who is handling the students of primary classes. Then, the promo progresses with the non-linear narrative where the students read about their relationship with their mom & how they share a beautiful bond with her. Meanwhile, the teacher reminisces about her plight at her home where no one is there to reciprocate the love which she has been longing for all these years. If you are too emotional then you might find a few drops of tears rolling down when the children surround the teacher and confess that ‘she is the real reason for loving their mother profoundly’.
It is the story of a passionate and loving teacher/mother who pours everybody’s heart with love yet her heart remains empty.
