The genius composer announced the creation of his Symphony last year and officially revealed the concert in London’s prestigious Eventim Apollo Theatre. Writing and composing a Symphony, historically, has been done by a few Musical Geniuses like Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms and such who took years to Write and Compose a Symphony while the Maestro Ilaiyaraaja completed his first Symphony in just 35 Days. By orchestrating ‘Symphony Number 1 – Valiant’, Composer Ilaiyaraaja has become the first from Asia to present his own symphony, creating history after continuing ruling the Cinema industry with over 1000 movies in his discography.
The 82 year old musical prowess has always had the dream of creating a Symphony and even created a Indian – Western Fusion album in 1986 ‘How to Name It?’. ‘Symphony Number 1- Valiant’ finally had a grand showcase in London on 8 March 2025 with the Symphony comprising 45 minutes and the whole concert lasted over an hour with celebrities like Yuvan Shankar Raja, Karthick Raja, Director Balki attending the concert in person.
