Netflix India South’s vault in 2025 looks elite as some of the highly anticipated releases of Tamil and Telugu language this year are arriving in the popular OTT platform post release. This exclusive list was announced by the Online streaming platform with the hashtag #NetflixPandigai or #NetflixPandaga which means ‘Netflix Festival’. Here’s the list of upcoming 2025 Tamil and Telugu releases which are going to be available on Netflix this year.

Starring Actor Ajith Kumar, Actress Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles, ‘Good Bad Ugly’ from the young filmmaker Adhik Ravichandran is one of the most anticipated films of Tamil audience and the fans of Ajith Kumar in 2025. The movie has already garnered attention due to the posters and the Behind the Scene pictures which portray Ajith in classy, iconic looks. Mari Selvaraj’s upcoming movie with young actor Dhruv Vikram, ‘Bison’ is told to be a sports related story and has a full packed talent. With actors like Lal, Anupama Parameshwaran, Pasupathy, Rajisha Vijayan, Azhagam Perumal and Kalaiyarasan on board, this movie will be available in Netflix post its theatrical release in major Indian Languages.
Dragon
Actor and Director Pradeep Ranganathan’s next collaboration with Ashwath Marimuthu is ‘Dragon’ produced by AGS Entertainment. A dark comedy and fun film, ‘Perusu’ stars real life brothers Vaibhav and Suni Reddy who play On screen brothers as well. The movie is the adaptation of the Sinhalese film ‘Tentigo’ from the same director Ilango Ramanathan, is the story of two brothers who find that their father has Post-mortem erection and tries a way to discreetly solve the issue before the funeral begins. The Original movie was highly acclaimed in film festivals and will be a perfect blueprint for the current dark comedy trend.

Dulquer Salmaan’s next with young director Selvaraj Sivamani’s periodical film ‘Kaantha’ boasts great Cast and Crew with Rana Dagubati’s Spirit Media producing the film along with Dulquer’s Wayfarer Films and Suresh Productions. The movie is set in 1950s Madras and talks about complex human relationships. The film also has Bagyashree Bhosle and Samuthirakani in prominent roles.
Vidaamuyarchi
Actor Ajith Kumar’s fans can be assured of this OTT release of ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ after the postponement of the theatrical release. The movie helmed by Magizh Thirumeni is an adaptation of the Hollywood film ‘Break Down’ that follows the story of a couple who are separated after their car breaks down in the middle of nowhere and the husband’s following search for his wife. The movie can be expected to have an early release in January as the makers are suggesting.
Thug Life
The immensely talented combo of Kamal Hassan and Mani Ratnam is back for a treat. ‘Thug Life’ flaunts a huge cast and crew with Kamal Hassan in the titular role and the rest being Silambarasan, Trisha Krishnan, Abirami, Nasser and many more joining the visionary director’s upcoming action drama releasing on 5 June.
Telugu Movies Premiering in Netflix
Hit 3: The Third Case
The third edition of the successful Hit franchise in Telugu, ‘Hit 3: The Third Case’ stars Natural Star Nani in the lead as Police Officer Arjun Sarkaar who will assumedly investigate a crime just like the previous two films starring Vishwak Sen and Adivi Sesh in the lead roles respectively. The movie is aiming for a 1 May release and will be available for streaming in Netflix post release.
VD12
Vijay Devarakonda’s 12th film is directed by Gautam Tinnanuri and is tentatively titled as ‘VD12’ is assumed to be a full on action drama that stars Rashmika Mandanna, Keshav Deepak and has Anirudh Ravichander as the Music Composer. The release date or the details about the story are yet to be announced.
Thandel
Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, ‘Thandel’ is the story of a group of fishermen from Srikakulam who drift away unknowingly into the Pakistan waters are held captives. Their journey of love, patriotism, drama and action is the essence. Starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles, the movie is set for release on 7 February and will be available on Netflix after the theatrical run.

Ravi Teja’s next action drama is titled ‘Mass Jathara’. Directed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu, the movie marks Ravi Teja’s 75th film and stars Sree Leela as the female lead. The protagonist is a Railway Protection Force Officer who is chill, charismatic and brave. The movie is set for release on 9 May, 2025.

Following the success of the 2023 Comedy film ‘Mad’ the same cast and crew are reuniting for a sequel titled ‘Mad Square’. Directed by Kalyan Shankar, the movie follows three friends who start their engineering college journey together. Starring Narne Nithin, Sangeeth Shoban and Ram Nithin in the prominent roles, the second installment is releasing on 25 January 2025.

The recent Telugu sensation Siddhu Jonnalagadda as the lead man, the movie is directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar. Not much is known about the plot of the movie but Vaishnavi Chaithanya will be playing the female lead in the film. ‘Jack’ is planning for a release on 10 April 2025.
