2025 Women’s Day Special: Colors Tamil Weekly Movie Lineups

Across the globe, ‘Women’s Day’ is observed on 8th March every year to honour and to reveal the timeless love, proactive actions, progressive notions and their irreplaceable presence in the lives of their loved ones. This twenty-first century has witnessed a huge revolution in all the aspects of the industry and women are multiplying in the superior positions. 

Cinema is also one of the most impactful mediums, where female leads & characters are objectified in the early days in hero-centric movies. 1.Paramapadham Vilayattu

It is a political thriller featuring Trisha, the leading actress of South India did a profound role as Dr.Gayathri who finds the conspiracy behind the death of the Chief Minister and she then gets trapped in a situation similar to the game ‘Snake and Ladder’.

2.Thittam Irandu

Athira and Deepa have been bosom buddies since their childhood. Athira who is now a cop is shattered to come across the news of Deepa’s death. So, she indulges into a deep investigation where she finds an abrupt truth.

3.Kaatrin Mozhi

A successful remake of 2017 Hindi movie ‘Tumhari Sulu’ which is titled in Tamil as ‘Kaatrin Mozhi’ where the story revolves around the female lead Vijayalakshmi aka Viji whose undying love for her profession sparks the rifts with her family and friends.

5.Penguin
