The actor celebrated his 42nd Birthday on 3 February which also presented an opportunity to announce his exciting lineup of movies with new collaborators.
The list includes the already announced and highly anticipated project ‘Thug Life’ and his upcoming tie up with new and young directors. Silambarasan TR has also announced his production journey, kicking off his own production house ‘Atman Cine Arts’, paving way for fresh talents in the Tamil Industry.
Thug Life
Veteran director Maniratnam’s next made tsunami waves as it marked the director’s collaboration with the immensely talented actor Kamal Hassan after decades. The movie titled ‘Thug Life’ also features Silambarasan TR in a prominent role as seen in the teaser. It is also his second collaboration with Filmmaker Maniratnam after ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’, and is slated for release on 5 June 2025.

A huge surprise for STR fans as the actor also dropped his 50th movie that also is produced by himself with his production company ‘Atman Cine Arts’. A milestone for the talented star who debuted as a child star in his father T Rajendar’s movies and later made a name for himself in Tamil Cinema. STR’s 50th movie is directed by the creator of ‘Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal’.

Promoted as Vintage STR returning, Silambarasan’s 51st movie was announced to be directed by yet another young director Ashwath Marimuthu who directed the 2020 drama ‘Oh My Kadavule’. The first look or rather a conceptual reveal poster saw STR wearing and adorning his popular outfits and accessories from his earlier movies, hyping up the expectation further.
