The multi-faceted actor, director, producer Dhanush is all set for a packed 2025 with several movie releases. Following his latest release ‘Raayan’, Dhanush is hooked with directing his own movies as his fourth project as a director titled ‘Idli Kadai’ is set for release in 2025 while his 55th movie announcement is also making headlines.
Idli Kadai Update and Release Date
Dhanush is feasting his fans with back to back updates of ‘Idli Kadai’ and D55 announcement. The former project starring Dhanush, Nithya Menen is a steady project helmed by the actor himself is sketched up for release on April 10, 2025. The movie’s concept posters resonate a peaceful, feel good emotion and was shot exclusively in parts of Tamil Nadu.
‘Idli Kadai’ is presented by Red Giant Movies, Dawn Pictures and Wunderbar Films with a pool of talents working off screen including G V Prakash as Music Director, Kiran Kaushik as Cinematographer and Prasanna GK as editor of the film. Every poster depicts an aesthetic rural landscape, leaving fans to expect a feel good, grounded film just like Dhanush’s first directorial project ‘Pa. Pandi’.
Both Dhanush and Nithya Menen were seen sharing screen space in the Mithran Jawahar project, ‘Thiruchitrambalam’ that was critically acclaimed, even bagging two National awards including Best Actress for Nithya Menen.
The release date was revealed in a poster with the ‘Sivanesan Idli Kadai’ on the backdrop while Dhanush is walking towards the shop, paired with the caption, Serving hot! Serving fresh! will be open from 10th April 2025 in cinemas worldwide”.
D55 Announcement
The ‘Asuran’ actor is currently signed up for 4 movies with the latest announcement being his 55th movie that is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. Both the director and actor are back from hits, as Rajkumar Periasamy’s ‘Amaran’ starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi is currently running successfully while Dhanush’s ‘Raayan’ also got mixed reviews.
D55 is bankrolled by Gopuram Films and the pooja of the film is done in the presence of Dhanush, Rajkumar Periasamy, GN Anbuchezhiyan and Sushmita – the producers and director Vetrimaaran added as a surprise.
