2024 is almost over with a few exciting movies releasing in the coming months while the audience are more interested in the 2025 Pongal releases. A promising set of movies with different sets of plots and genres is a platter to decide from coming January.
The Tamil audience who have been through a roller coaster ride in 2024 with literally barren first half to a bunch of blockbuster hits in the second half, are ready to warm their seats and hoping for a good start for the new year will be delighted to know about these releases.
1.Veera Dheera Sooran
Chiyaan Vikram has always been an outstanding performer especially gravitating towards physically dedicated roles which was seen in ‘Thangalaan’ this year. His next movie, which is his 62nd as an actor is titled ‘Veera Dheera Sooran’ is a sequel and is directed by S.U. Arun Kumar. Vikram is paired up with the talented Dushara Vijayan and also joined by the busy bee of the town SJ Suryah, malayalam actors Sooraj Venjaramudu and Siddiqui. This movie is a designated action / drama and is set to release for Pongal the coming year.
2.Game Changer
Director Shankar’s recent flop with a highly expected ‘Indian 2’ is a big blow for the world renowned director, who is set forth to make things right by joining hands with another recent international sensation, actor Ram Charan. ‘Game Changer’ story is written by director Kartik Subbaraj and stars Kiara Advani, Anjali, SJ Suryah, Samuthirakani and many more. The film is marked up for release on 10th January, 2025.
3.Suriya 44
While Actor Suriya’s ambitious, huge bankrolled ‘Kanguva’ is stirring the pot of excitement right now, his next with the trendsetting director Kartik Subbaraj is also a part of discussions. The untitled ‘Suriya 44’ looks like the director’s usual Western, retro style Gangster movie, the romantic aspect is also of importance as mentioned by the director recently. Along with Suriya is Pooja Hegde, Joju George, Naasar, Prakash Raj are rooted in for an exciting film, planned to be released along with the 2025 Pongal celebrations.
4.Good Bad Ugly
One of the biggest movie stars who has been avoiding the stardom and all the aspects of popularity that comes with it Ajith Kumar. Yet he still manages to build a huge hype around his films without any tiring promotions. His first collaboration with the young and successful Adhik Ravichandran named ‘Good Bad Ugly’ has taken the internet by storm with the release of the character poster itself. This movie seems like a gangster plot with Ajith styled in dapper, colourful suits and tattoos is just enough for his fans to flood the theatres coming January.
5.Thug Life
A Mani Ratnam – Kamal Hassan project after 35 long years is a feast of information worth in golds for the cinema fans, irrespective of fanbases. Especially when the extremely talented duo releases an unthinkable announcement video for the upcoming film ‘Thug Life’ that is envied by every other creative mind. This movie is tightly packed with numerous stars with Silambarasan, Trisha Krishnan, Ashok Selvan, Ali Fazal, Nassar, Joju George, Pankaj Tripathi and many are ready to blow our minds from January 2025.
