The patience of Tamil actor Ajith Kumar’s fans have been stretched to an extent as the actor’s upcoming movie ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ has been delayed, postponed and shifted dates for months and finally the teaser of the highly anticipated action thriller was released on Thursday, 28 November.
Starring Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan in the focus, ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ is directed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Lyca Productions. The teaser opens up to fantastic visuals of Azerbaijan and captures the vastness, revealing the magnanimity of the story, making and plot. Ajith Kumar is seen aimlessly roaming around but soon revealed to be searching for his wife, played by Trisha Krishnan.

The teaser also focuses on Arjun Sarja and Regina Cassandra, presumably in the evil roles while stunning visuals narrate the one liner of ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ – a husband in search of his missing wife in the middle of nowhere, fighting hurdles and adversaries on the way. The story is set to happen on a single day, where the couple is on a road trip and the sudden happenings result in the disappearance of his wife, leading to a frantic search.

The teaser with stunning visuals and sans dialogues lay out the premise of a simple plot, that is compared with the 1992 Hollywood movie ‘Break Down’. It is being rumoured even before the teaser drop that Magizh Thirumeni has tweaked and reworked his upcoming project from the Kurt Russel thriller. Inside the ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ teaser are a few easter eggs and small surprises that garnered the attention of fans like the reference of Stephen King’s antagonist Henry Bowers from ‘It’ maybe specifying a connection to a character disappearing.
2025 starts with these stellar Pongal Movie Releases! With only a few other characters apart from Ajith and Trisha, the movie’s cast include Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, Arav, Nikhil Nair, Dasarathi, Ganesh. ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ if as said by popular reports is a remake of ‘Break Down’, then it won’t be a usual massy movie for AK’s fans but rather a slow paced thriller that might have a little something more like a flashback portion and Ajith’s renowned car chase sequences, igniting the screens.
