Telangana state government has announced the withdrawal of Benefit or Special Shows and the Ticket Price Hikes that has been affecting the ardent fandom who are flooding the theatres without proper rules or restrictions. The government has come into this conclusion as an effort into regulating a middle ground for fans to safely attend such shows without commotions or fatalities as seen in the past months.
The announcement was made official on Saturday as the government has made this decision after considering the requests made by Sri Venkateswara Creations, the producers of ‘Game Changer’ to permit 1 AM and 4 AM shows for the release along with Price Hikes. Although the permission for the same has been granted, the statement also states that the makers can only run 4 AM shows and hike their prices for the release date alone (10/01/2025) and not to screen any 1 AM Shows.
The ban will be coming to practice from 16 January 2025 under the consideration of public interest, health and safety and primarily stated the rules for the recent release ‘Game Changer’ that is currently running special shows and a hike of 150/- hike for multiplexes and 100/- for single screen theatres under an interim review for the same.
