The Telugu movie ‘Brahma Anandam’ which hit the silver screen on 14 February 2025 is now made available on the ott platform ‘Aha’ which streams exclusively the Telugu movie contents. It is a comedy drama movie directed by debutant RVS Nikhil.
Brahma Anandam – Story
Brahmanandam aka Brahma who is so involved in his passion of acting and aims to become an actor, that he forgets to notice the love and care of the person who is closer to him. Meanwhile, life gives an opportunity to open the door of his long awaited dream through his grandfather Ananda Rammurthy. But it gets quite complicated when he unfurls the task levied by Murthy.

One of the key factors which could attract the regular Telugu movie watchers is the veteran actor Brahmanandam who has been ruling the hearts of fans for more than three decades. Once and again, his humour & the timing is at the peak that he makes us laugh through his body language without any dialogue delivery. I go short of words to describe this legend who has portrayed his role as Murthy. He brings out the longing of a common old man who has been left in an old age home by their son/daughter. On the other side Raja Goutham, Vennela Kishore balance the scales with their counters against the actor Brahmanandam. The performance of all the other actors looks ideal and satisfying for the roles they carried out.
It is a simple story with good writing, entertaining humour technically commendable with beautiful visuals and emotional sequences where Murthy longing for the unification with his love who has found his companion after years, and he showcasing the maturity of giving up his conviction for the sake of his grandson looks more real. And Brahma, a self-centered person breaks his shell, reaches his change of character arc at the end. Finishing off with the purpose of these characters are the striking elements of this movie.
Brahma Anandam – Negative Aspects
The anchor of the movie is the one and only actor Brahmanandam, if we exclude his screen presence nothing in the movie helps the story to impress us. While we are transferred into the world of Murthy and the battle for his love, the initial plot of Brahma’s passion for acting gets diluted in it. We might even forget why he had come along with his grandfather to this village. When the movie surpasses the first half, it begins to look lagging in pace during the second half. Though it is an usual story with few unique elements it could have been better in the climax because the victory of Brahma or Murthy’s doesn’t connect deeply.
Brahma Anandam – Final Verdict
While the performances of the actors are astounding, the predictable storyline and the familiar tropes hold it back. So, the movie ‘Brahma Anandam’ is a one time watchable movie for its light-hearted theme and it is preferable for all kinds of audiences.
